Meet the Founder: Steven N. French

Equipped with over 15 years of security management, business continuity, disaster preparedness and emergency response from his years of experience in the corporate environment, as well as the US Air Force, Steven French possesses the key knowledge to lead SNF Group. He retains over a dozen certifications relating to his profession and earned his degree in Human and Community Services with a concentration Emergency Management from University of New York.

In his most recent line of work beginning in 2015, French functioned as a Senior Crisis Management Specialist for Kaiser Permanente, a major healthcare provider. Here he designed and deployed a series of intelligent hack prevention, data recovery and anti-denial of service programs and plans to aid the Company in maintaining IT resiliency.

Additionally, French has successfully trained teams across the Kaiser Permanente organization, utilizing comprehensive exercises and drills to bring the entire company up to speed on privacy and data security practices. This is what makes Steven French an invaluable leader of SNF Group for he has numerous years of experience training others on all fronts of safety and security across various industries such as technology, health care and utilities.

During his tenure with the Kingdom Group, a contracting company that specializes in providing guard forces, surveillance, executive protection and other security services, French successfully launched full-scale security operations for C-level executives and Board of Directors as a Global Threat Analyst. This project was comprised of cutting-edge surveillance, emergency lines and information security enhancements. He established ingenious protocols and procedures, as well as formulated contingency plans for emergency evacuations employing his background in risk analysis and threat assessment.

As a Global Operations Manager for Securitas Security Services starting in 2009, Steven French demonstrated imperative leadership capabilities which he has honed throughout his career and in building SNF Group. He aptly oversaw a $2.8 million budget and developed client contracts while directing approximately 30 individual contributors and four supervisors. Furthermore, he coordinated payroll and weekly schedules for the entire team.In addition to providing exhaustive, quality security services to his Client, French harnessed his Lean Six Sigma knowledge torestructure a Client's security department and saved the Client $200K annually. Moreover, French led and organized successful Physical Security coverage for large-scale events boasting up to 2,500 attendees such as Town Hall, Board of Directors and Stakeholder Meetings for numerous clients.

Steven French not only exhibited solid leadership qualifications throughout his career, he also possesses essential interpersonal skills which position him as a collaborative and loyal professional who is eager to forge and nurture strategic relationships. While a Global Security and Emergency Response Manager for General Electric Nuclear Energy in 2008, French continuously built rapport with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Together they worked to meet key compliance requirements for security operations. As a result of his drive to work closely with government bodies combined with his expertise in security management and a host of compliance standards, the Company was never cited with an infraction during his service.

In 1996, Steven French began serving his country in the United Sates Air Force which is where he became a decorated hero and developed an expertise in emergency response, investigation, leadership and security management. While operating in culturally diverse populations plagued with major crises, French led security forces to maintain peace, establish police patrol and properly investigate and analyze an array of formidable situations. He had the honor of protecting high-ranking officials and members of Congress, as well as shielding the global community via anti-terrorist measures.

By the closing of his career in the military, French directed cross-functional teams of approximately 65 individuals. He was awarded four Air Force Achievement Medals, four Expeditionary Medals and a Global War on Terrorism Campaign Medal. Throughout his career, Steven French has built a variety of sophisticated crisis management and business continuity plans, leaving enterprises and high-profile clients both prepared and protected. He never underestimates the importance of a maintaining resiliency, for guiding companies to achieving continued privacy and safety is his utmost priority in leading SNF Group.
